4. Your Content & Rights
4.1. You Own Your Content
You retain full ownership of all photos, videos, messages, stories, events, and materials you upload (“User Content”).
4.2. License to Family Porch
To operate the platform, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, revocable license to:
- store your content
- process it for display to authorised family members
- back it up
- analyse it for safety, structure, and sentiment (such as in Porch Light)
We do not sell or share your content with advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.
5. Porch Light & Limited-Contact Exchanges
Porch Light is a guided communication feature for strained or high-sensitivity relationships.
By using Porch Light, you acknowledge and agree:
- messages may be analysed for sentiment and tone
- guardrails or AI-guided prompts may appear
- you are responsible for your behaviour, language, and interactions
- this feature is not therapy or a substitute for professional advice
We may intervene (e.g., pausing a thread) if safety or abuse is detected.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- post illegal or harmful content
- impersonate another person
- harass or abuse any user
- attempt to access accounts or content you are not invited to
- upload malware or interfere with system operation
- use Family Porch for commercial or promotional purposes
Family Porch exists to strengthen connection — using it to harm others is strictly prohibited.
7. Payments
Certain features may be paid.
Payments are processed by Stripe, and you agree to comply with Stripe’s terms.
We do not store your full payment information.

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

- decisions made based on Porch Light or sentiment insights

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Services in the past 12 months.
